THE GREEN DONUT
The 10-10-10 Process
(Clinical Data Exchange) Pays Off
Welcome to Velox Health Metadata, Inc.
Standards and regulations are transforming clinical data ecosystem dramatically for the better. This transition brings with it unprecedented opportunities transform almost all use cases that require clinical data. As dramatic as these changes are, to fully unlock this potential, streamline and automate related processes and workflows, additional capabilities are needed.
All these capabilities leverage metadata:
- Locating data
- Accessing data in real-time
- Automating API calls & information routing
- Security & data access rules
- Brokered trust relationships
That is what the Velox platform will enable stakeholders across the clinical data ecosystem to do. One particularly critical capability is locating records at the patient level. While FHIR APIs are giving us standardized access to clinical data and endpoint directories will give us ‘system’ addressed (think provider/health system directory), most use cases require locating a patient’s clinical data, often not knowing which system to retrieve that data from.
Reaching the full potential of automation also requires dynamically facilitating trust and security relationships and clearing any fees (where allowable by regulations).
Not only has Velox developed an industry-leading vision to achieve this potential, the company has already developed the core technologies to make it all a reality.
Lindsay Dafir, MS, RN, CCM Director, Quality Analytics & Process Improvement - HSCSNVelox has been instrumental in addressing critical deficiencies in our quality reporting data sources. Through their payer enablement platform, we’ve optimized our audit processes, incorporating features like dynamic rate evaluations and secure document exchange. Above all, Velox’s platform, combined with their exceptional client support and technical know-how, significantly enhances our digital quality measurement approach, enabling us to uncover new data connection opportunities and adapt to the phasing out of hybrid methodologies.

GreenHEDIS Manager Quality Health Services for Children with Special NeedsFrom a HEDIS management perspective, the Velox platform has been an invaluable tool for supporting audit compliance activities and streamlining documentation processes. We currently utilize the platform to securely capture and manage audit-related data and supporting documentation, facilitating efficient collaboration between internal teams, auditors, and external stakeholders.
The platform also supports preliminary rate review activities and health plan responses by providing a centralized, organized repository for documentation and communication. This has improved transparency, reduced administrative burden, enhanced document retrieval, and strengthened our ability to respond accurately and timely to audit and regulatory requests.
Overall, Velox has significantly improved operational efficiency, audit readiness, and compliance oversight, making it a critical component of our HEDIS and quality management processes.
Better Together.
